Underneath that competence, many are exhausted, anxious, and carrying more than they let on. I work with patients across Virginia, in person in the Tri-Cities area and by telehealth statewide. While every patient is different, a few groups tend to find their way to my practice. Some are physicians, attorneys, executives, and entrepreneurs whose birth experience left more of a mark than they expected. Some are the first in their family to reach the position they hold, and carry a quiet weight that comes with that. Some are therapists and helping professionals who spend their working hours holding space for others and have little left over for themselves. You don't have to be falling apart to need support.
