Family sessions happen in person at the Prince George office. Who comes into the room can change from week to week, depending on what we are working on and who needs to be part of it. ## What This Looks Like We slow the conversation down until each person can actually be heard, which is usually the thing that has stopped happening. I am not there to decide who is right. I am there to make it possible to say the real thing without the room catching fire. Often what surfaces is older than the current argument. A parent hears their own mother in their own voice at bedtime. A child has been managing the temperature of the house for years. We work with what is underneath, at a pace everyone in the room can hold. ## Who This Is For Families after a hard birth, a medical scare, a loss, a separation, or a long stretch of stress that changed how everyone speaks to each other. Parents and adult children who want something different than the pattern they inherited. I do not work with substance abuse treatment or court ordered evaluations. If that is what a family needs, I will say so at the consultation and point you somewhere better suited.
